POLICE in Redditch are seeking witnesses after a man was surrounded by a group of youths who demanded he hand his camera over.
The incident happened at about 5.20pm last Wednesday in Market Place in the town centre.
A 31-year-old man was taking photographs when he was approached by a gang of youths.
One of the youths held onto his arm and tried to hit him before trying to take his camera.
The man managed to run away from them.
Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly those people who were carrying out market research near the church.
There were about four or five offenders.
The main attacker was Asian, about 5ft 10ins tall, of big build and in his early 20s.
He had a round face, black hair cut short at the sides and was wearing a light coloured sweatshirt and dark blue jeans or trousers.
One man was arrested and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
