MATERNITY services at the Alexandra Hospital were among the first in the country to gain official credit for high standards.
They were marked on patient safety and care quality after the introduction of a new inspection process.
Units at the Alex, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal have been awarded CNST (Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts) Level 1 accreditation after an inspection in April.
Inspectors checked data and interviewed staff on topics like learning from experience, induction and training, management of health records, communication with patients and between staff, staffing levels and management of clinical risk.
The award entitles the Trust to a reduction in premiums against legal claims - releasing money for patient services.
