ALL-ROUNDER Neil Fletcher found his form to help Cutnall Green Cricket Club ease to a seven-wicket home success against Knighton-on-Teme in Worcestershire County League division five.
Fletcher, devastating with the bat last season, hit 105 not out and took 4-15 as Matthew Harris' side, who defeated Worcester Nomads by three wickets 24 hours later, reached their 144 target inside 32 overs.
Harris won the toss and put the visitors in. Knighton-on-Teme's opening order struggled to get runs and were curtailed by fine bowling from Matthew Evans and Don Faulkner (5-27), but only two wickets fell.
The second line bowling attack from Derek Higgins and Fletcher (4-15) continued in the same vein and wickets began to fall as the visitors tried to move forward, eventually being bowled out for 143 in the 44th over. M Toms made 49 and A Batt, 34.
Green's opening pair of Fletcher and Allan Morgan (17) made steady progress in reply despite good bowling from J Griffiths and M Evans.
Morgan's wicket fell in the 15th over when he was caught behind by wicketkeeper M James off the bowling of L James.
With 68 runs on the board, Evans (19) partnered Fletcher for a 50-run partnership to take the hosts to 125 in the 24th over before Evans was bowled by B Gittins.
Green comfortably reached their target in the 31st over, just three wickets down.
On Sunday, Green lost the toss and were put in to field. Stunted by good performance by all Green's bowlers, the Nomads' batting progressed slowly, reaching 50 in the 17th over and 100 by the 30th.
They finally made 52-5 with D Pearson scoring 60. Green were also slow in reply but chipped away at the target with Chris Higgins hitting 36 and Morgan making 25.
The target was reached with three overs to spare.
