A RUGBY player from Droitwich Spa, who has played the sport since he was six-years-old, has joined one the country's leading teams.
Craig Walker, aged 19 has been offered a trial with Zurich Premiership side Harlequins as part of their academy U21s side.
Walker, of Cockshute Hill, has made his way steadily through the ranks of Droitwich Spa High School, the town's rugby club and Worcester Rugby Academy last year.
Success has also seen Craig represent Wales at rugby league and union.
Walker left the Worcester rugby academy to study at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, during which time he was part of their British University championship winning side in both codes.
He was then called up to the Welsh Rugby League squad for the home nations tournament in Glasgow.
And now Craig has been invited to attend pre-season training with Harlequins.
"Rugby Union is my main code but I got into Rugby League to improve fitness," Craig said. "Deep down I am a union player."
