FLIRTATION with relegation to North Midlands Two has stiffened Redditch Rugby Club's resolve to move the club forward and the officials are hoping a new club manager can make a difference.
Former Worcester prop Steve Moore has taken on the role and hopes to take some of the off-the-field burden off club captain Stan Hull.
Former Alcester coach Dave Parsons is back at the club as head coach after leaving three years ago because of work commitments and Hull has committed to remain as skipper with the experienced Mark Rose as vice captain.
The new manager admitted frustration at the number of players in and around Redditch who play for other clubs - and the message Redditch players should be turning out for the Kingfishers is the thrust of a visible poster campaign launched by Moore.
And Moore is also hoping to improve an already successful youth section.
This season has already seen a first team featuring former juniors Gareth Davies, Joe Anelka, Mark Laishley, Stuart Clarke and Stuart Lewington and Moore is hoping more will follow suit.
