Alvechurch and Hopwood have another 'six pointer' when they entertain fourth placed Romsley and Hunnington on Saturday (2pm start).
The Birmingham Road side are third in Division Two, just eleven points off the promotion places after a winning draw at Oldswinford's expense on Saturday.
And they can pull away from the chasing pack with a positive result on Saturday against a Romsley side who are fourth, seven points behind them in the table.
Matt Hayward hit 86 and Nick Jones 82 as Church racked up 254-5.
But Jones lamented his side's inability to complete the job against their opponents' last three batsmen.
