The May meeting of Bromsgrove WI began with our president, Sue Kirby, thanking everyone for coming and braving the storms of hailstones occurring periodically.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read out by Marge Colvin, who approved and signed them. Apologises from many members were received. Included in the business was a thank you to Iris Hackett for raising £50 for the Marie Curie fund by organising a coffee morning.

Kate Sebourne gave roses arranged on the president's table for the meeting; afterwards they were received as a lovely raffle prize. A visit to Chadsgrove School was attended by June Gant and Roma Punt, delivering the annual collection of Easter eggs collected by the members.

The resolutions were then discussed and Millie Harris explained children's diet, exercise and health, Barbara Barton read out the resolution for vocational training and Roma Punt dealt with the third resolution on the care of older people.
