I CANNOT understand why Councillor David Barlow was complaining about the firework display at the end of the classical concert the Sunday before last.
The concert itself had been well publicised by the local media for several months and residents were informed well in advance.
Surely people can tolerate fifteen minutes of fireworks on one night, compared to the fortnight of fireworks lasting several hours each night that we seem to get every November?
Come on Mr Barlow, you claim that you are not a "killjoy" but your comments prove otherwise! It's not often that local people get the chance to be entertained by big stars in pleasant surroundings without having to travel further outside of this city.
So please do your duty as a councillor and support these events. After all, you are in a position that should be looking to improve the well-being of the citizens of this city.
MR K DUNKLEY,
Kerry Hill, Worcester.
