May was an exciting time as Rubery celebrated its 70th birthday.
Marina Trow, the president, had arranged a lunch at Barnes Close for the Wednesday proceeding the actual meeting. The weather was superb and the views beautiful and the lunch just added to the day, very good!
Afterwards everyone sat in the large conservatory drinking coffee; it was a lovely day.
The meeting night was a cheese and wine evening. Lots of nice cheeses, crusty bread and different salads and pickles.
Members were entertained by two male singers, both nostalgic and very funny.
Gifts were presented to all to mark the occasion and the evening ended with a raffle.
