AN investigation has been launched after a prisoner on remand for murder was found hanging in his cell at Blakenhurst Prison at about 10.45pm on Sunday.
David Steven Boote, 32, was pronounced dead at the Alexandra Hospital just after midnight on Monday.
Boote was the fourth prisoner to be found hanging at the Tardebigge jail this year.
Custody procedures were set to be reviewed after Ian Thomas Price was found hanging in May, just six weeks after two other men were discovered hanging.
The Prison Service will also be carrying out its own investigation.
