GEORGE Rooney continues his Bromsgrove Rovers revolution for next season with the addition of three new players.
Dave Benton, Steve Hillman and Darren Henry, who have all had spells at Worcester City, are expected to sign for the Victoria Ground club by the end of the week.
The trio, all free agents, will bring Rooney's summer signing spree to five, with goalkeeper Paul Wyatt and striker Sam Bowen already recruited.
Benton, a 31-year-old defender, has also had spells with Kidderminster Harriers and Burton Albion.
Versatile Hillman, in his late 20s, can play in the centre or left of midfield or defence. He came to Worcester's St George's Lane from Bloxwich Town and completed the best part of the 1998/99 season ahead of a move to Blakenall.
Darren Henry, aged 19, is a right back who spent some time with Worcester City's reserves.
Rooney, who has named Dougie Griffiths as his number two, has also set a deadline of this week for current Rovers players to decide whether they are staying or going.
He said: "We know what our finances are and we want to adhere to a strict budget. We have stated our position quite clearly to each player. It's make your mind up time."
The new boss is hopeful of keeping James Dyson and has spoken to last season's top scorer Richard Burgess regarding his future with the club.
Rooney confirmed that Steve Pope, voted player of the season last term, has left for Solihull Borough, following Les Palmer, Paul Danks and Matt Lowe out of the Victoria Ground.
Turnstile prices for next season are £6 adults, £3 OAP and £1 for U16s. Season tickets have also been announced.
