PLANS to redevelop Droitwich Spa Amateur Boxing Club's site still look set to go ahead despite the discovery of Roman remains.
Pottery, timber and animal bones were found underneath the Kidderminster Road plot last week and it was feared time would be called on the £850,000 project.
Worcester District Council's archaeology chief, Malcolm Atkin, said talks were underway with the Evesham and Pershore Housing Association to preserve the site, but the revamp should not be affected.
Club coach Chris Andrews is now waiting to hear when work can begin.
