A LUCKY Alcester boy is riding to success on a new tricycle thanks to town generosity.
Liam Clarke, of Arrow Crescent, who was born with cerebral palsy and suffers with epilepsy, received his new £1,000 wheels for his 10th birthday.
Caroline Kent of JM Kent gents hairdressers in the town found out Liam wanted a new bike after he and mum, Donna, visited a Birmingham exhibition where they saw a battery powered one.
But the next day, after a trip to Liam's hairdressers in Henley Street, stylists Caroline and John Kent took it on themselves to get the ball rolling and bring in the cash for a specially made manual trike for Liam.
It took nearly a year to find donations and a specially made bike just for Liam but after a £400 donation from the Freemasons, £250 from the Alcester United Poors Charity and the rest from Alcestrians, he finally had his new trike made by Quest 88 Ltd.
