Redditch's new £8million superhighway has become the town's crash-a-day accident black-spot just three weeks after it was opened.
And firemen stationed near the blackspot on the Alvechurch Highway say they have been more like ambulance men in the past few weeks coping with accident victims needing first aid.
So far, 13 people have needed hospital treatment as a result of accidents occurring at the junction of Windsor Road and Birmingham Road.
The opening of the highway has led to traffic being given priority along Windsor Road while Birmingham Road has been relegated in importance.
