THE vicar of Inkberrow, The Rev G A Harrison, presiding at the annual meeting of the committee of St Paul's Church, Cookhill last Thursday, expressed opposition to the proposal to introduce legislation to parliament to make wider Sunday entertainment possible.
Mr Harrison said he particularly wished to commend the work of the Sunday School teachers.
It was most important in these days that children should be taught the proper observance of Sunday.
He much regretted the Bill now introduced into Parliament, which if passed, would open the way for further neglect.
It was pleasing to know that their own MP would strongly oppose it.
