Wage claims made by several hundred men and women employed in the needle trade in Redditch and Studley are to go before an Industrial Council.
Men claim an additional twopence an hour or 7s 4d for a 44-hour week and women 1d an hour or 6s 5d for a 44-hour week.
The claims arose after the engineering industry's employees generally had been granted the same terms last autumn.
Mr J Savage reported to Alvechurch Parish Council on Monday that as part of their Coronation Celebrations the Bournville Trust had offered to plant an avenue of trees up Weatheroak Hill.
The village committee had not yet accepted the offer.
The trust proposed to plant 20 flowering cherry trees.
