Britain's oldest established independent manufacturer of hand knitting pins and sewing needles - Abel Morrall Ltd - formed in Redditch in 1785, has completed a decentralisation programme.
The company, whose 'Aero' brand is world-wide leader in the knitting pin market, has divided its activities into three autonomous operating divisions which together with its two subsidiary companies will provide five management centres.
As part of the decentralisation, the company has appointed Mr Alban Palmer FIWM to the new post of assistant managing director.
Formerly production director, Mr Palmer will be responsible to the main board for production policy and will undertake specific projects for the managing director.
