HEREFORD United manager Graham Turner was in talks with two players today as he bids to strengthen his 14-man squad.
Turner has signed only two players to date, Jordan King and David Brown from Telford, and is believed to have missed out in a bid to snap up Halifax United full-back Alistair Asher.
The Edgar Street outfit were one of a number of clubs chasing the 22-year-old defender who has signed for Unibond side Hucknall Town.
"We're pleased to get him," said Hucknall manager Steve Burr. There was quite a lot of competition to sign him."
