A Worcester man faces a jail sentence for a serious attack.
Gavin Martin, aged 25, of May Avenue, pleaded guilty to causing Trevor Pryce grievous bodiy harm.
Worcester Crown Court heard that he faces other charges of grievous bodily harm, affray and aggravated burglary.
He was remanded in custody by Judge John Cavell, who said jail was inevitable.
Martin changed his plea on the day he was due to stand trial by jury.
He will appear before the court again on Monday, July 21, when he may be sentenced after reports are compiled.
Defence counsel Adam Western said Martin had already spent eight months in custody. He was arrested shortly after the attack on Mr Pryce on November 2 last year.
