MOTORISTS are being assured work to rectify problems with new road markings on two Redditch roundabouts has been pushed forward and planned changes will be announced imminently.
The installation of new lane changes and white lanes on both the Sainsbury's and St George's islands prompted outrage from scores of motorists.
Work on the St George's island was suspended and taken out after it led to traffic congestion into the town centre.
Following a meeting of the Redditch Highways Partnership Forum last week, the county council decided to carry out work to rectify the problems during the summer holidays instead of the autumn.
Redditch Councillor James Uphill urged people to attend a county contact forum meeting at the town hall on Thursday, July 24, to air concerns about the islands.
