FOOTBALL mad kids are ready to reap the benefits of new training equipment donated by the Football Association.
Meadows Minnows, a Saturday morning U6s soccer school based at Meadows First School, in Stourbridge Road, has been given £500 worth of balls and goals as part of the FA's TOPS programme.
The scheme has been set up by the sport's governing body who are putting £6 million into first and middle schools across the country to promote football.
Meadows Minnows can now use the equipment to further develop the soccer skills of their youngsters who, up until now, have used cones as goalposts.
Coach Michael Crane said: "It makes a big difference for training and it improves training sessions and experience for kids."
More information on the TOPS programme is available from Andy Norman at the Worcestershire FA on 01905 827137.
