AN 81-year-old woman was duped by two men who came to her Astwood Bank home posing as police officers late at night on Monday, June 30.
The bogus officers told the woman they had come to collect forged money and said she would be in trouble if she refused to co-operate.
While one of the men kept the victim talking, the other searched her Dagtail Lane home.
About £600, jewellery and a stamp collection were stolen.
The offenders were white, aged in their 40s-50s.
The first man was of large build and wearing a dark jacket, possibly leather, and dark trousers.
The second was slightly younger, of thin build, and was wearing a navy blue baseball cap and jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call DC Damien Pettit at Redditch CID on 08457 444 888.
