A FEW tickets remain for what promises to be a day trip to remember.
This Friday, a party from Bromsgrove will travel by luxury coach to spend a day in London organised by the St John's Church Landmark Appeal to help swell its target of £700,000 to repair the fabric and refurbish the organ.
On arrival, guests will enjoy lunch in a private capsule on the famous London Eye, 450 feet above the River Thames. Back on the ground the party will cross Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament where they will be greeted by the town's MP Julie Kirkbride.
The afternoon will be spent touring the fascinating and historic Palace of Westminster with the chance to listen to a debate in the public gallery, tour the rarely seen Speaker's House and visit St Margaret's Chapel.
It will be followed by tea on the House of Commons terrace.
The cost is £90 per person, £75 for U18s. Call the appeal co-ordinator, Jo Slade, on 01527 835734 for details.
