The June meeting followed by the AGM, presided over by president Marion Neale, took place at the Raven Hotel.
Members were delighted to learn that Freda James, a much valued honorary member for several years, could now become a full member under new Inner Wheel rules.
Marion reported that the fashion show at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall had been very successful and raised £366 for St Richard's Hospice. During her year in office Marion will have raised over £1,000 for the hospice.
Congratulations went to June Green, runner-up in the annual District 6 crown green bowls competition at Hampton in Arden.
The club AGM then took place with reports given by the officers. Those elected for the year 2003/4 are president - Honor Craig, secretary - Pat Oliver, treasurer - June Green, overseas service officer - Lesley Mackenzie and club correspondent - Pam Plumridge.
