ENERGETIC staff, pupils and parents donned their sportswear for a long distance charity event at a town school.
The event, 'Escape from Bromsgrove', was held at Bromsgrove Lower School in aid of Action Research.
A total of 636km was covered in 12 hours - on a static bike and on rowing and jogging machines - by the kind-hearted volunteers.
The event raised £400 for Action Research, a national medical research charity dedicated to preventing and treating disease and disability.
Teacher Peter Lee-Smith, who took part in the event, said: "It was a fantastic day and, as the children passed by in between lessons, they offered their support. It was an opportunity to bring staff, pupils and staff together and displayed the spirit of the school."
