CREATIVE youngsters from a Rednal infant school put their artistic talents to the test when they designed a new sculpture for their millennium garden.
The new tulip sculpture designed by the youngsters of Rednal Hill Infant School, in Irwin Avenue, was unveiled on Tuesday, July 1.
The sculpture was part of a project, organised by the school's art co-ordinator Jane Bolton.
With the help of sculptor Daniel Hilton, the children came up with different designs for the sculpture including butterflies, various creepy crawlies and flowers.
Headteacher Di Slater said: "The children also had the opportunity to meet Lickey Hills ranger Jo Hayden.
"He showed them various different types of wood and they chose to use oak.
"Daniel Hilton then spent time designing the sculpture and it was officially unveiled by Jo Hayden."
