DEFIANT Spa spinster Nellie Copson is facing a bankruptcy order.
The 83-year-old owes Wychavon District Council £1,229 in unpaid council and business taxes.
Miss Copson, of High Street, was jailed in 2001 for failure to pay off similar debts. And in 2002, court bankruptcy trustees raided her savings to pay the £3,103 which she owed in business rates from 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 plus legal costs and bankruptcy fees.
She claims she cannot afford the bills and the levy is unfair because her High Street shop is empty. Wychavon had the order made at Worcester County Court, on June 20.
