GOOD health and some of the best qualified people in the county are key findings about Bromsgrove in the latest census results.
Most people drive to work and two wards in the area have the highest number of vehicles per household, according to figures just released from the 2001 Census.
Analysis by the Research and Intelligence Unit at Worcestershire County Council shows Stoke Heath, which includes Avoncroft, is one of the top five wards where people feel healthiest, out of a total of 120 wards in the county.
Over 78 per cent of the people who responded to the survey there said they felt in good health. Droitwich South East, which centres on Primsland Way, also features in the top five.
The most qualified people in the county can be found in Hillside, which includes Lickey, Barnt Green and Cofton Hackett, and Linthurst, which includes Burcot. They join two areas of Malvern with the highest number of people holding degrees, top NVQ levels or professional qualifications, such as teacher or doctor.
Of the 43,351 people aged 16-74 in Bromsgrove who work full-time over 70 per cent - 29,686 - take the car. Around 10 per cent work at home. Droitwich South-East is one of the county areas where the least number of people - three per cent - don't have a car or van.
Seven per cent of households in Woodvale, which includes Fairfield and Dodford, and in Inkberrow, which includes Hanbury and Bradley Green, have four or more cars or vans.
