STUDLEY continued their resurgence with a fourth league win in a row, on Saturday, to put them within four points of Birmingham League Division Two East leaders Walmley.
And with Brandon Miller's side again upsetting the odds last week to book a place in the league Knockout Cup next Wednesday, Studley's habit of hitting form on dry pitches is again paying dividends.
After a slow start last season, the Washford Fields side put together an impressive run which saw them only lose out on the title in a dramatic final match against the eventual champions.
An uninspiring run at the start of this season has been banished as Miller's men have repeated the feat to storm up the table to third in a very tight league.
Studley are bidding to continue their run at home to relegation-threatened Bedworth on Saturday (1pm start), knowing a win could put them top of the table.
And the title-hopefuls have their first ever Knockout Cup final to look forward to next Wednesday (6pm start).
The villagers have played their best cricket in the cup according to their skipper and will enjoy home advantage in the final.
After a bye in the first round and a walkover against Stratford in the second, Studley beat Division One outfit Leamington and Premier outfit Knowle and Dorridge before turning over former Division Two East leaders Tamworth in the semi final.
Two sides from the bottom rung of the Birmingham League will meet in the final after Division Two West team Fordhouses shocked Premier Division Old Hill in the other semi.
