PRINCE Edward officially opened a new school hall in a flying visit last week.
After landing by helicopter next to Haselor Junior and Infants School, the prince was shown around by headteacher Sine Wyatt - meeting most of the 101 pupils along the way before opening the octagonal hall.
It is possibly the first time that the village, just a mile from Alcester, has had a royal visitor and Prince Edward stayed for an hour to open the hall before flying off to his next location.
The hall was part of a £390,000 scheme which included new toilets, a covered play area and new changing rooms.
Funding for the project came from Warwickshire County Council, Stratford District Council, Haselor Parish Council, the vital villages network, friends of Haselor School and the school itself.
