CHAINWIRE gained a winning draw to stay above rivals Stone in the Division Six title race.
The Kidderminster side, asked to bat first, were in trouble at 75-5 but a superb 76 from captain Russell Tovey enabled them to reach 192-9 off 45 overs.
Gary Bourke (3-49) bowled well before the villagers got off to a poor start in reply.
They slipped to 75-5 due to good bowling by Jason Williams (3-25) and Mark Meese (3-35).
Mike Brazier batted well for 30 as did Ray Logan (28) but were dismissed in the same over.
Kevin Hatton and Pete Durnell saw out the last nine overs for two runs to earn the draw.
Chainwire 192-9, Stone 136-8.
