FOES FAMILY FUN DAY: Last Saturday was a great success enjoyed by many families from the village. The weather just managed to stay fine and everyone enjoyed the bouncy castle, tug-o-war, football, face painting, quiz, pig roast, welly wanging and crazy golf. Although not intended as a fund-raiser, £61 was made for FOES funds and will directly benefit the children of Eckington School. FOES has thanked all who helped and came along on the day.
FOES Auction of Promises is to be held on Friday, November 7. If you or your company would like to donate something to be auctioned please contact Sid Ellis on 01386 750039. All money raised at the auction directly benefits the Eckington School children.
SCHOOL: Had a fantastic week last week, who would have thought a week of maths could be so much fun. There was bingo, the trading game, beetle, a penny trail around the whole school, cooking, picnic, designing their own games, a river crossing, cake sale, whole school graphs, a fun quiz and much, much more. All the children and staff really enjoyed their different activities and just may have learned some maths too!
The penny trail and cake sale was held in aid of the Acorns Children's Hospice and a cheque will now be sent on. The school has thanked all the parents who gave their time during the week and everyone who supported the events for Acorns.
