RURAL England, Greek dramas and plenty in between - there's a mixture in store as ever for local theatregoers.
'A tale of love lost and found in the Shropshire hills' is being staged in neighbouring Worcestershire, at Witley Court, near Worcester, from July 17 to 20. The award-winning Pentabus Theatre Company is making use of the stunning English Heritage setting to perform Mary Bane's Precious Bane, adapted by popular playwright Bryony Lavery.
For details call Witley Court on 01299 896636 (performances continue whatever the weather!).
There's still a chance to see Oedipus, the classic Greek drama by Sophocles, which is being performed by Playbox Theatre, the successful Warwickshire youth theatre, at its Dream Factory base in Warwick once more, on July 12. Contact the box office on 01926 419555.
