MOTORSPORT: Racer Nathan Freke returned to winning ways and maintained his lead in the British 125 Superkart Long Circuit Championship.
Freke triumphed with an overall victory in the fourth round at Snetterton following a disastrous meeting the previous weekend.
He needed a good qualifying time and obliged with the second fastest to gain a grid two place.
Freke took an early lead but was unable to shake off his main rival and eventually fell back to third.
The Kidderminster driver suddenly had to stop with a spinning kart in front of him and finished second after the resulting red flag.
Changes were made to the engine and Freke stormed ahead in the second race from grid two.
He held on for victory, despite a last-corner lunge across the grass from the second-placed vehicle.
