GOLF: There were more than 150 entries for Wharton Park's stableford competition on Sunday which marked Captain's Day, hosted by Steve Owen.
Kevin Middis took the honours for the men with 46 points, three ahead of Malcolm Jones.
The Bewdley club have had a busy last couple of weeks with a July Medal and a pro-am betterball competition between teams of four.
Each side was led by a professional and there was some outstanding scoring, despite the odd shower.
