ORGANISERS of Stourport Carnival are appealing for the names of two former carnival queens to complete the set.
The identity of the 1926 and 1982 figureheads is not known and a family ticket for this year's September 6 event - worth £10 - is on offer to anyone with either name.
Carnival committee member Pete Roberts - who is also appealing for pictures of any previous carnival queens for the 2003 programme - said the quest had been going on for several years.
Mr Roberts added organisers were looking for carnival floats.
"We've had a good response so far but we're trying to beat last year's total of 23," he said.
"And we have trade space available on the field - we desperately need some caterers and ice cream people."
The line-up of bands playing on the riverside meadow from 12.30pm to 9.30pm has been announced and it includes Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lopez tribute acts as well as soul outfit Retro Fliers.
And groups from Lickhill Middle School, Stourport Scouts and Guides and Stourport Royal British Legion will be making their regular appearances.
