STOURPORT'S Dave Williams enjoyed a fabulous match in the Daiwa Bewdley midweeker, taking top spot with 67lb 2oz of mixed fish on the River Severn.

The Mark's Tackle star landed barbel, chub, roach and perch from peg 50, just below the old railway stanchions.

On the Kidderminster and District Angling Association water, Williams used a swimfeeder with casters and hemp with single or double caster on the hook.

Mark Jones, of Colmic, took second place at the unfancied peg 92 with 57-5 of barbel on swimfeeder and caster.

Third place went to Bewdley man Dave Harrell (MAP) with 31-15 from peg 38, again barbel on swimfeeder and caster.

Other positions: 4th Bob McAulay (Phoenix) 25-6, 5th Richard Speller (Stourport) 23-9, 6th Trevor Chalk (Shimano) 22-12.

There are open matches on the KDAA Bewdley water every Wednesday with a noon draw and fishing from 2pm until 7pm.
