KIDDERMINSTER'S Mick Penn caught seven trout to 2lb on the Stella lake where the best flies were viva and cat's whisker.
Buzzers and orange or pink lures were most effective on the Masters lake with a Halesowen man landing a 13lb 8oz trout with a black lure.
A dog nobbler, imitation fry and booby also caught trout weighing around 13lb.
On the Wyre Dell lake, a Sedgley angler used a green nymph to snare 10 trout to 4lb, though the best flies were viva and buzzers.
Worcester's Matthew Gill had a good day as he caught 16 trout with a total weight of 15lb 8oz on the Andy Capp lake with a montana which proved most effective along with viva flies.
Carl Veal, of Stourport, reeled in a 20lb catfish with worms in the coarse fishing scene on the Erics lake.
Another Worcestershire fisherman took luncheon meat which produced two catfish to 42lb 2oz.
Pellets caught a 45lb 8oz brace of catfish and a 17lb carp on the Gainsborough, as well as three catfish to 23lb and two carp to 11lb for another man.
Fishing went well on the Stuarts lake with competition weights of 40lb-plus.
