WORCESTER oarsman Matt Beechey will compete for Great Britain in the final World Cup meeting of the season in Switzerland this weekend.
The 26-year-old is part of a lightweight quad outfit that recently pushed the Polish heavyweight crew to within a length at the Queen Mother Cup at He nley.
Beechey enjoyed a successful start to the season with a bronze medal at the Essen International and hopes to crown a good year with a role for Britain in the World Championships in Milan next month.
The former Bishop Perowne High School student is now living in Henley where he trains full time and is line for a place in next year's Olympics in Athens.
