ARTWORK by six printmakers feature in the next exhibition at Malvern's On the Wildside Gallery of Natural History Art.
From July 22, the gallery will be showing The Art of the Printmaker, a contemporary collection of prints, etchings, woodcuts, linocuts, and silkscreens.
Pieces by Gloucestershire's Sue Brown, and the late John Tennent will be included in the show, amongst the work of Scott Ellwood, Robert Gillmore, John Paige, and Greg Poole.
"The exhibition will be bold, bright, and full of colour, containing work of the highest calibre," said gallery manager Anna Brook.
"The show intends to explore the varied and innovative nature of printmaking, displaying the artists' flair and passion for the natural world."
Some of the artwork features individual plants and animals, and others comprise of images of complete scenes within nature, containing views of the landscapes, which surround the subject matters.
Included in Sue Brown's showings will be some of her latest etchings of plants containing images of flower heads and leaf skeletons. Brown became a professional artist in 1997, after leaving her job as a teacher to have a child.
She said: "I don't really select my subject matter on what it actually is. Instead, I choose the subjects with the most interesting textures and patterns that can adapt well to the process of collagraph etching."
Using techniques learnt whilst at college in the late 70s, Sue Brown started her art career by looking particularly at images of chickens, as well as other animals, and even sometimes making images of angels.
Her work has featured in The National Print Exhibition three years running, and she is a member of the Society for Graphic Fine Art.
