CHASE School pupils and staff, past and present, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with a summer party.
The school, now a technology college, reaches the landmark this summer and on Saturday, July 19, a huge bash will be thrown in its Geraldine Road buildings.
Attractions include a professional live band, as well as a disco in the main hall. The school's Big Band and Blues Band will keep feet tapping well into the night, and pianists will entertain in the fairylit quadrangle.
Guests at the party will be given '£1,000' of free chips to gamble in a specially set up casino, while a licensed bar will serve Pimms and other summer tipples.
Tickets are £15 to over 18s only, available from the Chase office on 01684 891961.
As well as the party, every evening next week there will be an exhibition in the school library of memorabilia from the past five decades of life at the Chase, from photographs to exercise books and even the old school cane! The exhibition runs from Monday to Saturday from 4pm to 6pm.
On the Saturday, there will be a guided tour of the school, including the memorabilia exhibition, for anyone wanting to see how the school has evolved since it was built.
