A CHARITY walking day based at Eastnor Castle raised £15,000 for the Acorns Three Counties Appeal.
More than 200 people took part in the Three Counties Walk on Sunday, June 29, giving a boost to the project to build a new children's hospice.
"The weather couldn't have been better and we had a really good turnout," said Emily Henton of Acorns. "We had people taking part from across the Three Counties, with many local groups and organisations."
The 26km walk started and finished at Eastnor Castle and 60 people completed the full route. Others did shorter loops.
Acorns is organising a number of challenges, including treks in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the Canadian wilderness, Sahara and the Amazon. For more information, contact 0121 248 4802 or visit www.acorns.org.uk.
