CRADLEY parents are supporting plans to start a youth club in the village.
Parents have been given the go-ahead by the parish council to set up a club for young people to meet, discuss their opinions on various issues and generally have a good time.
"The youth in Cradley need something," said organiser Rosie Berry, "So we are hopefully setting up the club to raise their status in the village."
Plans are still in the early stages, but a venue has already been found, the Old Chapel next to the playing fields.
Various events will also be taking place to raise money for the club. There will be a flea market in Cradley Village Hall on Saturday, July 19, and a pig roast and barbecue at the playing field in Chapel Lane on Sunday, July 27.
Ledbury Youth First has also offered its services. As well as helping with the youth club, a project has been suggested involving young people making a video of what they would like to see in Cradley in the future.
