A TRIO of long-serving staff members are leaving Malvern Girls' College after a combined total of nearly 60 years' service.

Central office manager Sylvia Harding began work as a temporary secretary 27 years ago and never left. As well as providing administrative support through changing times at the college she has many fond memories, including taking part in trips to communist Russia in the 1970s.

German teacher Jocelyn Bailey, also helped with confirmation preparation, arrangements for college lecture programmes and careers conventions and assistance with archives during her 20 years.

As well as teaching maths for 13 years, Maggie Harris helped with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and a World Challenge trip to Bolivia last year.

"These members of staff have made enormous contributions to the college and we shall miss them greatly," said head Philippa Leggate. "We wish them every happiness in the future."
