A firefighter is on call for glory at the World Firefighters' Triathlon Championships in Barcelona.
Adrian Mayhew, a member of Red Watch at Worcester Fire Station, is confident of bagging a medal at the championships at the end of this month.
The 31-year-old, who lives in Pershore, said: "I think I've got a good chance - the season has gone well for me."
The event consists of a 1500m sea swim, followed by a 40km cycle and a 10km run.
Mayhew has competed in the official world championships in the past, and has competed twice in the world surf life saving championships.
However, he has to pay all his own expenses to get to Barcelona and is looking for sponsorship to help him fund the trip.
Any businesses or individuals who may be able to help should contact Adrian on 07812-589225.
