WORCESTER Nomads found life very much to their liking against a weak Stanway side on Sunday.

WORCESTER NOMADS SUNDAY v STANWAY

Surprisingly electing to bat, Stanway found themselves skittled out for 80, and were in danger of a much lower total, having been 48-8. Only two batsmen contributed, Reid with 23 and Tingle with 19.

For Nomads, Charlie Griffiths bowled an excellent opening spell, showing good control and pace, taking 3-6 from five overs. Paul Ranscombe gave good support, with 3-9 from four, and Taylor, Akhtar and Bowman each took a wicket, with one visiting batsmen being carried off injured with a pulled hamstring.

Nomads changed the batting order around to give the youngsters the chance to shine, and Geoff Taylor duly obliged, making 25. Making his first appearance for Nomads, Bobby made his mark on the game, being unbeaten on 31 as Nomads won by six wickets.
