WORCESTERSHIRE will be out to regain their position at the top of the Frizzell County Championship Division Two table when they open their match against bottom-placed Derbyshire at New Road tomorrow.
The County go into the game two points adrift of leaders Northamptonshire with a game in hand.
The County will have paceman Kabir Ali back in action after missing yesterday's National League Division Two defeat against Leicestershire because of a family bereavement.
Graeme Hick, however, remains on the casualty list with a broken bone in his hand. His comeback is now pencilled in for Worcestershire's Championship game against Gloucestershire which opens at Cheltenham a week on Wednesday.
New Road director of cricket Tom Moody is warning his side to be on their guard against a Derbyshire side who have won just once in nine outings so far this season.
"Derbyshire have some dangerous players and it's a game we have got to make sure we are right on the mark."

Meanwhile, former Worcestershire left-arm spinner Matt Rawnsley took 5-117 for Herefordshire on the opening day of their Minor Counties clash with Devon at Torquay. Devon totalled 371 and Hereford 30-0 at the close.
