CONTROVERSIAL plans to build two bungalows on the site of one house between Redwing Close and Fieldfare Close, Malvern, are being recommended for approval this week.
Outline planning permission is being sought for a bungalow on the Fieldfare Close part of the plot and full permission for a dormer bungalow at 9 Redwing Close, replacing the present house.
Objectors have raised worries about access, drainage, flooding, the loss of shrubs and trees and over-development.
Planning officers say the granting of outline planning permission would not give any right of access to Fieldfare Close, which is a private, unadopted road.
Access from Redwing Close would not be acceptable because it would result in a tandem effect with the proposed dormer bungalow.
There is no public sewer and the applicant would have to provide an alternate means of sewage and surface water disposal.
But they consider that the principle of a bungalow is acceptable, subject to various conditions, including details of siting and access.
Their report to the southern area planning committee says there is ample space for two dwellings.
