MEMEBRS of Droitwich T.A.G.B. Tae-Kwon-Do club took part in the T.A.G.B. South-East Championships held at Burgess Hill in West Sussex.
Instructor Matt Lennard, aged 22, won bronze in the Individual Men's Black Belt Lightweight division.
Lennard then teamed up with four times Flyweight world champion Joseph Schembri and world silver medalist Kevin Guy, to win silver in the Black belt tag-team championship.
Lennard's 15-year-old student Dave Lilburn won gold in the junior boys Blue/Red Belt Middleweight division.
He then won bronze in the junior boys Blue/Red/Black belt Tag-team event which was a gallant effort as Lilburn was the last man standing, as his two team partners were knocked out. He continued on his own to lose to the winning team by only one point.
The club recently had a grading session and 35 students graded and all passed with over 25 per cent getting 'A' passes.
