Bretforton 2, Kidderminster 1
IT WAS agreed to play the latest match as a ten-a-side affair with Kidderminster only having eight players and having to borrow two from hosts Stour-port.
One of them who made the first goal when she sliced through the Bretforton defence to score.
Once the Vale girls had settled they were soon dominating the game and their pressure paid off when Gilly Wright made no mistake when converting a right wing cross.
Amy Trotman made some excellent runs from midfield to keep the pressure on Kidder-minster, while Julie Hall also had an excellent game in centre defence and it was her accurate pass from the top of the circle that saw Tracey Hodgkin make it 2-1.
Julie Stowe, Blanche Surman and Kate Mitchell all played well in defence. Kidderminster tired in the second half when, despite a number of Bretforton attacks, there were no further goals.
lTHE ladies of Pershore are readying themselves for the season ahead and are encouraging new players to join them.
Ring Sue Sheppard on 01386 555308 or Victoria Walford (07970 633884) for more information. All ages and standards will be made welcome.
